Catlow & Company — Shiraz, Beechworth — 2022

Grown by our friends at Savaterre. This vineyard sits at 420-metres. Fruit was partially destemmed and fermented on Barbera lees in stainless steel with 20% whole bunches included. Raised in a seasoned French puncheon and barrique. Bottled under screwcap.

Bright crimson hue. Aromatically, this wine speaks with a slight French accent -  lifted wild raspberries, black olives, and turned earth. Crushed granite and gun smoke. Dried herbs and spice on the palate with tapenade inflections. Fine tannin underscores a deliciously silken body.
