Catlow & Company — Chardonnay, Beechworth — 2024

Hand-picked fruit from Piano Piano, grown at 450-metres. Whole bunch basket-pressed and settled in tank before wild fermenting in a four year old Stockinger demi-muid (600L). Partial malo and then racked to a clay egg on fine lees for 12-months. racked clean to stainless steel for a further two months prior to bottling.

Generously flavoured and texturally full with fresh underlying acidity and a refined conclusion.

Straw-gold complexion. White flowers and candle wax aromas with a whiff of green almonds and brine. White peach and custard apple flavours on the palate with the faintest hazelnut praline character on a firm, focused finish.
